Other Salmon Rides

Below are a few other areas to ride near Salmon.  These rides shown on the maps are all fun in their own, and they all have many options for loops and exploring.

Barracks Lane Trails

Two great trails accessed from the Barracks Lane Trailhead.  Mulkey Creek is in Blue below, and Rippey Spring Loop in Red.

You can also ride Rippey Spring Loop from two trail accesses south of Baker on Withington Creek.  The first is just beyond the cattleguard.  The second another 1.5 miles further on at a wooden gate that is the Cheney Access gate and the start of the Green loop below.

Henry Creek Loop

1100' of up and down in less than 4 miles.  Access this ride on the Williams Lake Road about a mile south of its junction w/ the Williams Creek Road.

Bob Moore Creek Loop

Know that what was once an excellent section of singletrack in Bob Moore Creek has been lost to the motors.  While still a good loop right from town, there is not much singletrack.

On the map below are two options for accessing the trail in Upper Bob Moore Creek.  Both offer tough climbs.

The Blackrock option (~18mi) is in Blue and the Leesburg Road option (~12mi) is in Red.

The Dump and "S" Hill Area

Here are a couple quick loops near the Dump.  These are a patchwork of gravel roads and cow trail.  The section closest to the dump is a ripping little singletrack downhill.

There are segments of great cow trail all over from the Dump south to Sunset Heights and east to Mulkery Creek.

Mail Truck Road

Some would think that 4000' of climbing in about 7 miles is crazy.  Some would beg to differ.  Access this ride near the end of the Geertson Creek Road.
